Impact of the False Caste System on India
The genuine Varnasrama system was replaced by the artificial Brahmana by birth right instead of by *qualification*. Thus the degradation began by creating a class of men(so-called brahmanas) who were *totally unfit* to guide the society. The chaos thus caused Karmic reaction weakening the society--which lead to the invasion by Muhammad Ghori.

Democracy in Ancient India
The supposed differences between "Western" and "non-Western" cultures are in this case, as in so many others, more a matter of ideological faith than of cool, impartial judgment. If we are talking about the history of humanity as a whole, democracy is equally new or equally old everywhere.

The modern-day Arjuna has no knowledge of the ancient teachings of Vedic culture and civilization. These teachings maintained a society that was honest, vibrant, vigorous, successful and peaceful. Great and tremendous technological advances were acheived in the sciences, medicine and in every other field of human endeavour. Great strides were made in technology and in all the arts as well. Yet the people themselves, learned from a young age to be at peace within themselves. They lived in harmony with each other. Society itself guided them to move away from pure materialism towards a path that led to the achievement of spiritual bliss.

The Vedic Case Regarding Caste
Regarding the topic of arranged heirarchies within Vedic-Hindu tradition.... Such heiratchies only applies to responsibilities and duties and not property, rights or previleges. Also I am speaking in regards to an authentic Vedic culture not the remnants of Vedic culture.
